How many times have we put our efforts into attending seminars, conduct a training session and have mission statements but have not incorporated any type of policy to create a benchmark to follow and to have each employee, vendor, distributor, etc… accountable.  The policy should go beyond that of the organization structure and incorporate all business functions that support the organization either from suppliers to contracted vendors.  This benchmark will enable your mission statement to have an added value in pointing out your commitment and stance on protecting the environment.
